Frequently Asked Questions
*NEW* How do I refill a prescription?

As of June 1, 2011 New England OB/GYN is participating in electronic prescribing or e-prescribing. You can read more about the benefits of e-prescribing at www.surescripts.com.

How does tihs effect me as a patient?

New prescriptions -When you see your physician and they prescribe a new medication the information will be sent directly to your pharmacy from our computerized medical record - the physician will not generate a paper prescription. You can go directly to your pharmacy to pick up the prescription.

Refills prescriptions - you will no longer call our office to request a refill for a prescription that a physician at NEOGA has prescribed for you. You will call (or access online) the pharmacy where you filled the original prescription and request a refill (you will need to know where you filled the original prescription and RX/prescription number). The pharmacy will then send us your request electronically through our computer system and we will process it. Please allow 3-5 days from the time you called the pharmacy to pick up your prescription.

Hint - save your yourself some time by asking your pharmacist to put your prescription on automatic refill and they will be waiting for you - it will eliminate a call everytime you want to refill a prescription.
